Just south of the border of North Carolina is an unexpected, but not entirely unpleasant, bucket-list attraction called Pedro's South of the Border. A quirky roadside "town" with vibes similar to that of a closed-down amusement park - Pedro's bright colors, big sombrero souvenir buildings, and large chicken statues just to name a few, are really something to behold.
And don't forget to stop into the gator-filled Reptile Lagoon - snakes, lizards, gators, and turtles, oh my...
